This course provides opportunities for students to participate in a work-based learning environment that incorporates continuous collaborative feedback between the employer, teacher, and student. This course combines classroom instruction with business and industry employment experiences that may be outside the student's current program of study. Career Preparation General is for students who do not have a job aligned with their program of study or have not taken CTE courses before.

Level 4: Career Preparation Program of Study #8011

provides additional opportunities for students to develop business and industry employment experiences, which must be related to the student's current program of study alongside advanced classroom instruction. The goal is to prepare students with a variety of skills to transition from job- to career-mindedness. This course provides a continuing focus on collaborative feedback between the employer, teacher, and student. Career Preparation Program of Study counts as the Level 4 course in a program of study when the employment aligns with the student's program of study and has taken one Level 2 course or higher within the program of study.

PR: One Level 2 course or higher within a program of study and job aligns with that program of study.
