University Health System is offering a convenient way for parents to stay up-to-date with their child’s immunizations. They will dispatch a mobile clinic to 12 NISD campuses in May.

Now is the perfect time to empty medicine cabinets, bedside tables, and kitchen drawers of unwanted, unused, and expired prescription drugs as the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) holds its annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 29.
Last night, Trustees discussed and took action on several items: approved 210 additional campus staff to accommodate growth and the opening of the Harlan HS and Kallison ES; approved the official calendar for the 2018-2019 school year; named “Grosenbacher area” elementary school after Dr. Linda Mora; and appointed campus administrators including three principals.
The Stevens High School Police Explorers program is in its first year of being a school organization and they are making great strides in preparing students for a future career. The after school program is teaching students real life police skills with on-hands training.
Despite cloudy skies, the 21st Texas Solar Race Car Event went on with battery-powered assistance on April 22 at Gustafson Stadium.
