The Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurement, distribution and disposition of goods and services for Northside Independent School District.

Taxpayers

Northside ISD Voters have passed $4.97 billion in bond construction programs since 1995.

NISD's first bond issue was held just a few months after the District was formed in 1949. In fact, every school in NISD has been funded by a bond issue.

In addition to millions of dollars invested in new schools and thousands of additional classrooms, a significant percentage of bond funds have allowed for infrastructure and technology upgrades, renovations at older schools, safety and security upgrades, new school buses, and land for future growth.

Volunteer and Background Check Information

Each year, more than 20,000 parents, partners, sponsors and friends volunteer at Northside ISD. Mentors help improve a student's self esteem and attitude toward learning. We appreciate each and every person who becomes a volunteer or mentor!

A small group of retired NISD educators began to informally meet and discuss ways to save the districtโ€™s history.  Over time, the group formally organized and began to make plans for creating a School Museum.

Currently, more than 7,000 children with parents who are connected to the military attend schools in the Northside Independent School District. Led by the efforts of school counselors, NISD school communities work diligently to support military families and address their unique educational challenges.
