Welcome to the Nichols STEM Lab, where all students grow in confidence, curiosity and capability! Every six days, each Kindergarten-5th grade class visits the STEM Lab and is able to participate in STEM career exploration, coding, robotics, engineering, and STEM Fluency Skill lessons.
STEM education is a method of teaching through hands-on learning experiences in which students apply real life problem solving skills, with innovative design based projects that provide exposure to career opportunities for the future. STEM may stand for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, but we experience so much more in the lab and truly focus on growing as innovators, collaborators, communicators, creators, leaders, learners, critical thinkers and solution finders.
In the lab, students will be programmers, investigators, and engineers. All students will work through the design process, (ask, imagine, create, collaborate and improve) as they explore the possibilities of innovation for the 21st century. My goal is for all of our Mustangs to find a passion for innovation that helps leave them to leave a mark on our world in a creative and impactful way.
