The theatre arts department invites you to “Noises Off,” a play that has been called the funniest farce ever written. Performances are this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7pm in the auditorium. On Saturday, the Holmes swim team swim at the Burnet Invitational against 26 other teams from around the state. The boy's sprint relay that was the fastest in Northside at districts last year continued the win streak, finishing first again for the second week in a row. Senior David Dana led the team, earning gold in both of his individual events and junior Anthony Miklaucic also brought home a gold individual medal. On the women's side, Penny Payne led the team, placing in the top 10 individually and on both relays. Good job swim team!

We will be having our Homecoming/Halloween pep rally this Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in the Girls Gym. Come join us and watch a special performance from the pep squad, dance team and cheer!! We will also have a Halloween game and need a couple of volunteers from each class!! If you’re interested in participating, arrive 15 minutes early and report to Mrs. Serrano, the dance team director.

On Friday, the Holmes swim team competed in the Battle at Block swim meet against Marshall, Warren, Jay, and Stevens. The boys team was able to take first place in 6 out of the 11 events, with first place finishes by Anthony Miklaucic (Mik-Law-sik), David Dana, and Joshua Benson. The trio, joined by Hector Cortez and Nick Amann, showed again that they are one of the top relay teams in the district, taking first in both relays by a significant margin.
