PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Rayburn Families,
What a fantastic week we’ve had! I want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined us for Family Night on Wednesday, November 13th. It was such a joy to see so many of you engaging with our staff, enjoying the games, and exploring the resources we had prepared for you. The energy and excitement in the room reminded us all why our school community is so special. Thank you for making the evening such a success!
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to remind everyone that our break will take place from November 25th through November 29th. This is a well-deserved time for rest, reflection, and family. However, the days leading up to the break are equally important for our students’ academic progress. Let’s ensure that we maintain strong attendance through the week of November 18th–22nd. Every day counts when it comes to learning and growth!
I’m also thrilled to share that we now have a Little Library Box located near the flagpole in front of the school. This is a wonderful resource for our community to borrow and share books. Please take a moment to visit it, whether you’re looking for a new read or want to contribute books for others to enjoy.
Wishing you all a relaxing weekend filled with quality time with your loved ones. Thank you for being such an integral part of the Rayburn Middle School community!
Do Not Enter
Please be aware that the new Do Not Enter signs have been installed and will be enforced. They are located at the exit of the parent drop off lane.
For the safety of all staff, faculty, students and visitors, please do not enter through that area. It is an exit only.
Thank you for your support on this safety issue!
No cell phones while in the school zone
Remember that the use of cell phones while in the school zone is prohibited by Texas Transportation Code 545.425 Use of Wireless Communication Device in a School Crossing Zone or While Operating a Bus With a Minor Passenger; Local Authority Sign Requirements.
This includes the parent drop off/pick up lane in front of the campus. It is illegal (and unsafe) to operate a motor vehicle while using a cell phone in a school zone. This offense is a Class C Misdemeanor. Please be aware that if a person is observed using a non-hands-free device while operating a motor vehicle in a school zone, may be subject to a citation for the offense.

Exciting News! We have a Little Free Library!
We’re thrilled to announce the addition of a Little Free Library right outside our school! This special library is open to everyone in our community—books are free to take, and you’re welcome to leave a book for others to enjoy.
Whether you’re looking for a new read or want to share a favorite book, our Little Free Library is here for you. Let’s spread the joy of reading in our community—one book at a time!
Happy reading! 📚✨
