NISD schools named to AP School Honor Roll

7 campuses named to prestigious AP Honor Roll

Northside ISD boasts seven high schools that have been designated as Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Roll Campuses.

They are Brandeis, Clark, Communications Arts, Harlan, Health Careers, NSITE, and Oโ€™Connor high schools.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to ensure more students take AP courses and support them on their path to college success.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

College Boardโ€™s AP Program enables students to pursue college-level studies with opportunities to earn college credits, advanced placement, or both while still being enrolled in high school. Through AP coursework, each culminating in a challenging exam, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue โ€” skills that prepare them for college and beyond.
