Our Northside ISD bowlers are on a roll! Six high school teams and 9 individuals advanced to the Texas High School Bowling State Championships. All qualified at the regional tournament at Fiesta Lanes in New Braunfels on March 7.
NISD bowlers swept all of the team qualifiers and 9 out of 10 singles qualifiers.
The District bowling season starts in November and runs through February with regionals and state competition are in March. An All-District All-Star tournament will be held in April.
The state championship competition will be held March 26 and 27 in Grand Prairie.
State Qualifiers are:
Boys Teams – O’Connor Panthers (Regional Champion), Taft Raiders, and Warren Warriors
Girls Teams – Brandeis Broncos (Regional Champion), Warren Warriors, and Harlan Hawks
Boys Singles – Gio Fleurimond, Harlan HS (Regional Champion); Aydan Howell, Taft HS; Tony Valdez, Warren HS; Jeshua Aleman, Warren HS; and Leam Goes, Brennan HS
Girls Singles – Jackie Rangel, Brandeis HS (Regional Champion); Miya Greene, Brennan HS; Alexa Valadez, Jay HS; and Frances Davila, Health Careers HS
