Plans are underway for Northside ISD’s seventh high school magnet school, which will focus on agriculture and be located on the O’Connor High School campus. The school’s existing agriculture program will become a magnet school beginning in August 2021.
NISD families can begin to apply for school choice transfers for the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, Feb. 3. Under school choice, a parent or guardian can request his or her child be transferred to another school within the district other than the one serving their residence.

In the fall of 2022, Northside ISD will open its 12th comprehensive high school. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held recently for the new campus which will be located on the far west side of the District on Galm Road.
NISD will hold three Winter Spectaculars this year. The 12th annual High School Winter (Dance) Spectacular will be on Wednesday, Dec. 11 and the 2nd annual Middle School Winter (Dance) Spectaculars will be on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and Thursday, Dec. 19.
