Mission Statement:
At Virginia A. Myers Elementary, we believe that all children can learn through the use of effective teaching practices, differentiated instruction, and character education. All children will be challenged to become life-long learners by achieving success in their academic and social lives.
I grew up in Del Rio, Texas and moved to San Antonio in 1993. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Bilingual Studies. I earned my Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Concordia University.
As Principal, my goal is to support and encourage a safe learning environment. I will also support our students, staff, and community maintain a shared vision of creating Relationships, and Achievement for ALL! I look forward to sharing a collaborative school culture that works together to achieve great things for our students.

Hello! My name is Veronica Segovia-Cadena and I am the proud Associate Principal at Myers Elementary! It gives me great pleasure to serve the students, staff, and parents at Myers!
I earned my Masters Degree at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I have been a Vice-Principal in Northside for several years and love to watch our kiddos grow throughout their time at Myers.I welcome you to Myers for a visit so that you can see the high levels of learning taking place each day. I enjoy my time with my daughter, my husband, and my dog Bowzer. We love spending time together doing various activities. I encourage you to swing by at anytime to enjoy lunch with your child or spend time at one of our fun events at Myers!
