It is with a great sense of pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! Marshall Law and Medical Services Magnet School opened our doors to students in August of 2019. This year we will celebrate the commencement of our first graduating class! I am very excited to continue the work that we have begun at Marshall LMS. Our students, faculty, and staff make a commitment to excellence every day and we continue to encourage our students to, “Explore their passion and commit to their future.”
Prior to being appointed principal at Marshall LMS I served as both the Campus Programs Coordinator and Vice Principal at Business Careers High School. I also taught Political Science and Introductory Government at the collegiate level for several years. I believe that working with a diverse population of individuals ranging from high school age students to working adults has well prepared me for the diverse challenges that can arise in a position in educational leadership.
On a personal note, I am a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio. My husband and I have been married for twenty-eight years, and we have three sons and two grandsons. In my spare time I enjoy running and walking in my neighborhood and riding the bike trails throughout San Antonio. As an educator I strive to treat my students the way that I would want my own children treated in their educational environment. . . with kindness, compassion, and a steadfast belief that they can be successful in accomplishing their goals.
My goal is to serve the families and children of Northside ISD and to provide them with an education that will prepare them for college and career readiness in the 21st century. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding our campus or programs offered. I look forward to working with you as a partner in your child’s education.
The Associate Principal also serves as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. They can be reached by email at adrian.gonzales@nisd.net or by phone at 210-397-7246.
Hello Marshall Law and Medical Services Magnet School family! My name is Adrian Gonzales and I am extremely proud and humbled to be a part of such a great community and growing tradition. I am the Associate Principal for Marshall Law and Medical Services Magnet School and I look forward to working with all LMS students and their families for the 2021-2022 school year. I am entering my 24th year in education and this will be my 14th year at Northside Independent School District. Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal at Earl Warren High School in NISD for four years and at Zachry Middle School as the Special Education Campus Coordinator for one year. Prior to these experiences I was a special education teacher and a baseball and football coach at Earl Warren High School.
My commitment to the LMS campus and everyone involved within our great community is my number one priority. The academic success and safety for all of our students, as well as the John Marshall HS community, will be my primary focus for this school year. I will be a resource that will be readily available to all students when needed and please know that my door will always be open. I look forward to working with all of our students, families, and community leadership partners to ensure that Marshall LMS continues to grow as the premier magnet school within Northside ISD.
Go Rams!
Adrian Gonzales
- Denise PiñaCampus Programs Coordinator
My name is Denise Piña and I am very excited to join the Ram family. I’ve been an English high school teacher, a Gifted & Talented Specialist for middle school and a Campus Testing & 504 Coordinator. As a first generation college graduate, I felt it was important to be a role model for my son and obtained certifications in English, Speech, Reading, Dance, Principalship and Superintendency. I also present for Organizational Staff Development in NISD and love welcoming new teachers, parents and students to our wonderful school district! One of my greatest accomplishments is being a mom to my adorable son! We run monthly 5K marathons and are collaborating on a series of children's books addressing the two-parent household. The title of the first series is called I Have Two House’s. Being an educator and mother has given me joy and happiness in which I wholeheartedly extend to others!
