Jess Garza, Principal of Lieck Elementary
Jessica Garza - Principal
My name is Jessica Garza and I am so honored to be a Lieck Lion! ! I have had a great journey in education since 2001. In Northside ISD, I have taught fourth grade at Powell Elementary and third grade and Campus Instructional Technologist at Shirley J. Howsman Elementary. In 2013, in its inaugural year, I was appointed as Vice Principal at Kay Franklin Elementary. In 2019, I was honored to serve as the Vice Principal at Cable Elementary. In March 2020, I was blessed and proud to be named principal at Edmund Lieck Elementary School.

I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Biology. Later, I received a Masterโ€™s degree in Integrated Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. This degree was earned through a PAVE grant that was offered through a partnership with NISD and Walden University. Finally in 2010, I earned a Masterโ€™s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Go Runners! Needless to say, education plays an important part in my life and those around me.

At Lieck Elementary, we strive to maintain a safe school environment, challenge our students with high levels of motivation and engagement and keep the best interests of the whole child at heart.

I encourage you to contact me at any time if you have questions, concerns, or comments.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our school pages..

Respectfully,
Jessica Garza, Principal

Hello! My name is Tammy Reyna and I am honored to serve as your Associate Principal. I am originally from San Antonio and have lived here most of my life. I am a proud graduate of Jefferson High School in SAISD. I attended Texas State University in San Marcos where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I taught second grade and third grade at Evers Elementary here in Northside before going back to school to become a Librarian. I earned my Master's degree in Library Science and Information Systems from the University of North Texas in Denton. I had the wonderful opportunity to open a brand new library at Lieck Elementary where I served the students and families since 2011. I am passionate about public education and so decided to return to school with the purpose of learning and growing into my role as a school leader. I earned my second Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Trinity University in December of 2021. Recently I've had the honor of serving the Cody ES community for nearly three years as the Associate Principal. I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful daughters. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends when I can. Some of my favorite things to do are reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants. It is my honor to serve the Lieck community again as your AP!
