Career Investigations 6
This is a lab- and project-based course in which students will participate in experiences that model real -world industries with a focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). This course establishes the foundation for the STEM Magnet pathway of courses. The goal is to create a pathway for success in high school, future studies, and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. All Career and Technical Education clusters will be addressed so students have a well rounded view of all career clusters. Students will research labor market information, learn job-seeking skills, and practice professional communication skills. This course will focus on major units in Engineering, Robotics, Biotechnology, and Computer Science. Career and Technical Education instruction provides content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills for students to further their education and succeed in current or emerging professions.
