My name is Lisa Mendez and it is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Carson Elementary and to join this extraordinary school community. I look forward to getting to know our community, staff and students.
My educational career began in SAISD as a fourth grade teacher. After two years, I transferred to NISD and have had the privilege to serve as a third grade teacher, Administrator Intern and Associate Principal. I received my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of the Incarnate Word and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
It is evident that Carson has a strong sense of community and a constant drive for excellence. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for our students each and every day, while providing them a safe and nurturing learning environment. I look forward to establishing strong relationships within the Carson Family. I am excited to continue the special traditions of Carson Elementary and will work hard to ensure all students continue to receive a high quality education, while addressing the individual needs of every child.
Please know that my door is always open to you. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input. My goal is to always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes in the years to come.
Respectfully,
Lisa Mendez

Hello Carson Cowboys! I am Kim McClintic, the associate principal of the greatest school on the planet and I am excited to be part of the Cowboys family! Prior to coming to Carson in 2021, I was the administrative intern at Carnahan Elementary, ELA coordinator at Garcia Middle School and ELA teacher at Anson Jones Middle School, all in Northside ISD. My educational career began in SAISD as an elementary special education teacher.
I am a proud wife and a mother of three awesome kids, all who attended and graduated from Northside schools. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends. I also love to travel and have the opportunity to travel and live in some amazing places.
I look forward to supporting the Carson community and its students so that they receive an excellent education and embrace learning in all areas of their lives.
