Debra Piñon - Principal
Greetings Parents and Families of Cable Elementary,

My name is Debra Piñon and it is my privilege and honor to serve as the Principal of Cable Elementary. I am excited to establish a strong learning culture with our community of learners and families and I look forward to an exciting time of learning and growing with our students. I am also delighted to be working with our fabulous professional faculty/staff and you, our parents and community members.

I have had the honor to serve Northside as a teacher and I have served as an administrator for the last 16 years. I began my teaching career in the fall of 1990 as a third grade teacher with North East Independent School District. After moving to Northside ISD, I taught for several years in first, second, third and fourth grade classrooms. My administrative experience has been shaped by three years of successful leadership as the Vice Principal and seven years as the Principal of Hatchett Elementary. Four years ago, I was bestowed the privilege of opening Herbert G. Boldt Elementary. This task was truly a labor of love. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to Cable Elementary.

My greatest initiative is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment that will provide differentiated instruction to all and meet the needs of each individual student. The instructional program will be academically challenging, engaging for each student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experience, and at a level, that promotes further exploration of new and challenging ideas.

I anticipate a most successful year as our faculty/staff and I support the academic, social and emotional growth of your child here at Cable Elementary.

As Principal, my door will always be open and I welcome your involvement at Cable Elementary. Please feel free to stop in to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best school ever!
I look forward to working with all of you as we work towards establishing an academically successful elementary school!

Respectfully,
Debra Piñon, Principal

Hello, Parents and Families! My name is Isabel Anaya, and I am extremely honored and proud to be part of the Cable Cubs Family as your new Associate Principal.
Although I am not originally from Texas, I bring a wealth of experience and passion for education from my roots in East Chicago, Indiana. I am a proud graduate of Ball State University, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a Spanish Endorsement. My journey in education continued as I received my Master's degree in 2005 and subsequently obtained my Principal Certification from UT Arlington.
For the past 24 years, my dedication has been to Northside ISD. I began my teaching career at Villarreal Elementary, where I taught 3rd and 5th grades for 10 years. Following that, I spent 12 years at Kuentz Elementary as a 5th grade teacher, while also hosting many after school enrichment clubs. My journey then led me to work with Curriculum and Instruction Elementary Science for 2 years.
I have one son, Michael, who is about to enter his fourth year at Texas Tech, where he studies Mechanical Engineering. We both share a passion for the environment, traveling and exploring the outdoors.
As I step into the role of Associate Principal, I am committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. I look forward to working with our exceptional students, dedicated staff, and supportive community to continue the tradition of excellence at Cable Elementary. Together, we will ensure that every student thrives and reaches their full potential.
Go Cable Cubs!
With gratitude,
Isabel Anaya
