Core Values: Kindness, Respect, Perseverance, Responsibility
Drawing from 17 years of experience in education, I have gained valuable insights that have influenced my perspective on leadership and learning. My dedication to student achievement, overall growth, and academic excellence has been the driving force throughout my career.
Family, integrity, and impact are the pillars of my values, guiding my actions every day, and I am dedicated to embracing a 'Do Whatever Is Necessary' approach to fully support our students and ensure their success.
I am eager to collaborate with you in building a strong partnership to fulfill our mission and provide an outstanding educational journey for our students. Together, let's uphold Beard Elementary standards of excellence and work towards continuous improvement.
It is a great privilege for me to lead the Beard community as principal, and I am looking forward to meeting each of you soon.
Sincerely,
Joshua R. Kuhlmann

I began my teaching career in the Northside Independent School District at Allen Elementary and gained experience and friends at other campuses while teaching both 2nd and 4th grade. In 2019 I was fortunate to begin serving Beard as the math specialist and moved to the role of GT specialist in 2021.
Since obtaining my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Abilene Christian University and earning my master's in Educational Administration from Lamar University, I have aspired to be a servant leader. I am honored to be a part of our Buckaroo family where we transform the learning experience for students, and I am excited to have the pleasure of working with such a wonderful community.
