A local team of students from O.W. Holmes/Business Careers High School TX-781st AFJROTC, in San Antonio, TX, were a finalist in the national championship round of the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot IX—The National Youth Cyber Defense Competition in Baltimore MD. At this competition TX-781st AFJROTC CyberPatriot team won the CISCO Networking Challenge in the All Service Division.

Cross-country assistant coach Faith Barlow said she remembers Manfred running at the school since she was a student there.
After being given the shoes, Manfred is seen in the video wiping his eyes, saying, “You’re kidding me!”
Barlow said Manfred initially asked one of the runners before the team’s morning run where he bought his shoes and if they were a solid running pair.

Congratulations to the Huskies Swim Team.
This past weekend, the Huskies set some new school records, won 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.
Additionally, Coach Jeff Segrest was honored as "Coach of the Meet"!

Carolyn Mullins has been a pillar of the Business Careers family for years. She has helped shape the lives of hundreds upon hundreds of students and is a shining example of what it means to be a "student-centered" educator. She is well deserving of the title "Educator of the Year".

This past weekend, the Business Careers chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) competed at the regional meet against many other schools from around the city. To say that the Huskies were successful would be an understatement! BCHS had 31 students compete and 24 qualified to advance to the state-level competition! Each of the other 7 students qualified as an alternate to go to state!
