City makes “connections” with free WiFi

May 14, 2013

NISD administrators recently joined San Antonio Housing Authority officials in unveiling a new WiFi initiative in select SAHA housing properties around San Antonio. Campus administrators from Martin ES, Ross MS, and Holmes HS attended the press conference because the SAHA facility is in their attendance zone, thus their students would benefit from the initiative.

NISD offers WiFi at all schools and buildings, and the SAHA initiative will bring WiFi access to students and families at home.

“This is a great initiative that will help students to complete homework and classroom projects at their home environment,” said Ray Galindo, NISD Deputy Superintendent for Administration. “It certainly helps connect the home and school in a way that will help the student be successful in their studies.”
