The Northside ISD Learning Tree After School Program is hosting a Job Fair to fill 100 youth leader positions. The job fair will be held Thursday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Northside Activity Center, 7001 Culebra Road.

Eighth grade gifted and talented students from Stinson Middle School have been working to raise cancer awareness in the community. As part of their class study of the different types of cancer and treatments, students created 6 public service announcements (PSAs) and hosted a fundraiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s South Central Texas chapter. Now that the PSAs are posted on YouTube, their cancer awareness efforts have gone global.
To comply with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, Northside ISD will offer free meals to children who are 18 years or younger from June 11-July 11 (Monday through Thursday) at any of the following schools:
Glass and Knowlton elementary schools were each recently awarded $5,000 grants from the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries.
It might be summer but school zones are in effect through the beginning of August, although the times are slightly altered. All Northside ISD campuses are used for either summer school programs or as drop off/pick up sites for students.
