Congratulations Mrs. Balinsat!!! Apple Eddie and the Northside Education Foundation awarded Mrs. Balinsat a grant for $735.00 The grant will help first grade develop their writing skills and will incorporate literature. Mrs. Balinsat hopes to improve writing literacy so students are more successful.

Mead Elementary School proudly took on the ice buckets challenge raising $600 for ALS. Over 30 staff members participated, including Mead Principal, Annette Lopez.

The entire Mead Elementary School staff came out to thank CVS/Caremark as they brought school supplies for hundreds of Mead students. This is the third year in a row that CVS/Caremark has partnered with Mead to provide students with school supplies they may not otherwise have. We are definitely grateful for their partnership because at Meadit's Personal!

Out of over 70 elementary schools in the Northside Independent School Distric first year fourth grade teacher, Ms. Lorena Sandoval, was selected as the 2013-2014 District First Year Educator of the Year.
