It was a beautiful day for an outside adventure at Carson Elementary today. Mr. Kline, one of our terrific third grade teachers, took a group of third graders to the farthest reaches of our school grounds for an archaeological dig. He is starting a science unit on earth structures. He knew that one of the best ways for him to teach about soil and rock layers would be to get the kids outside with shovels in their hands. You should have seen the excitement whenever the students hit something with their shovels and got to dig it up and free it from the soil. Great job, Mr. Kline!
