Once again, Aue Elementary‘s annual Gatorfest was a success. The Aue PTA is so proud to report that overall figures from this year’s event generated more than $43,000 in profits. Funds raised from Gatorfest go directly to support Aue Elementary. This year, the monies will be used to purchase mini-iPads and picnic tables for the courtyard. Gatorfest also funds field trips, school-wide incentive programs, academic support programs, tutoring, and much more.
Young, old, current, and former Aue Gators attended this year. It’s difficult to count the total in attendance, but we know 85% of our students and their families attended. It was a wonderful turnout and show of support.
The food trucks proved to be a popular addition, as well as the refiguring and placement of some of the booths.
We had tremendous parent support not only planning the event, but also working in the booths. It was a true team effort. A huge thank you goes out to the Gatorfest Committee and all the parents who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this year’s Gatorfest the best one so far. Our thanks and appreciation especially go to Lisa Gillaspia, first grade teacher, who took the reins and chaired the festival.
