Dear Tomlinson Families,

My name is Rene Esquivel, and it is both a privilege and honor to serve as the Principal of Tomlinson Elementary. At Tomlinson, we strive for excellence in a nurturing, innovative environment with high expectations for all.

My commitment to student success, whole-child development, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and academic excellence drives me every day. I approach each day with a "Whatever It Takes" attitude.

My name is Hannah Jackson and I am thrilled to be a Tomlinson Trailblazer and honored to serve as your Associate Principal! I had the opportunity of helping open Tomlinson in 2021 as a teacher and am blessed to now serve in a different capacity.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from UTSA and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UTA.

I was born in the Philippines at Clark AFB, but have lived in San Antonio since 1987 and consider this my home. I transitioned to the education field following a career as an Operations Supervisor in a financial institution. This is my 10th year in this great District. Prior to joining the Tomlinson community, I taught at Timberwilde Elementary teaching 1st and 4th grade. In addition, I have been a substitute for NISD in various grade levels. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my experiences.

Building relationships with students, families, and staff is my passion. I strive to make learning engaging, enjoyable, and filled with moments of laughter. I hold high expectations for myself and everyone in our school community to ensure we provide high quality education, fostering independence and success in our students. I look forward to partnering together to make this school year one to remember!
