It’s time to start thinking of courses for the 2017-2018 school year! Are you interested in taking Dual Credit courses? Dual Credit courses give you the opportunity to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. Dual Credit courses are offered in Math, English, Science and Spanish. The Science & Engineering Academy is hosting the FIRST Robotics Hill Country meet on Saturday, January 14. The meet features 13 teams and is the third in the Hill Country League Meet series. The public is welcome to attend the competition which will take place in the cafeteria from 8:00am-3:00pm.
The Academic Decathlon team competed at the JAWS invitational at Warren this month. Our team brought home 35 individual awards. Aeddon Chipman brought home 7 individual awards plus the trophy for All Around Top Scoring Student in the Honors Category. Matthew Martinez also brought home 7 individual awards. Jaclyn Buda and Jamel Merrit each brought home 5 individual awards. Jhereg Jones and Tiana Bell each brought home 4 individual awards.
