Hello Reddix Family!  My name is Cheryl Parra and it is my pleasure to serve as
your Associate Principal this school year. 
I am a native of Queens, New York. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Texas
State University.  I hold three Master’s degrees. The first is in Special Education,
the second is in Educational Administration, and the last one is in Autism
Spectrum Disorders.
I am starting year 22 in Northside where I have served our students in the role of
instructional assistant in a BMC setting and then being promoted to special
education teacher at Zachry Middle School. I then worked at the district level as
an instructional support teacher assisting schools across the district to deliver
quality instruction to students with special needs through the use of research-
based accommodations and modifications. I returned to campus work at Jay
High School as a special education campus coordinator and assisted in opening
Harlan High School. I was promoted to Assistant Principal at Harlan High School
until being given the opportunity to serve as an Associate Principal at Reddix
Center.
When I’m not at Reddix, you can find me in my kitchen cooking, reading a
book, binging a series on Netflix, or going on a cruise with my husband.
As a lifelong learner, my hope is that my efforts will inspire every student at
Reddix to reach for the stars.  Here at Reddix ALL students will be able to
acquire the life-long knowledge, skills, and values needed in order to make great
contributions to their community and wherever life takes them.
