🤞 Our doors do not open until 7:00a.m. so please do not drop off students before then. Our staff goes on duty at 7:00a.m. and will gladly welcome you in at that time.
🦉Parents & Visitors: Be sure to have your photo ID ready to update your Fast Pass!
❄ It will be VERY cold this month so be sure to bundle up and dress warmly.

Starting Tues, Jan. 7th, 2025, from 7:00-7:40a.m. ALL Pre-K & ECSE students will report to the Cafeteria. Each class has an assigned table and will gather here each morning. Students may get breakfast by going through the cafeteria line with staff assistance or sit with their class.

If your child would like to eat breakfast, we recommend getting to school early so students have enough time to eat. 

Parents may eat with their child in the Courtyard, however they are not allowed in the Cafeteria.

At 7:40a.m., all Pre-K & ECSE classes will leave the Cafeteria and make their way to their classrooms to begin the instructional day.

The safety of our students, staff, and OHT families is our number one priority. Here are a few friendly reminders to help keep everyone safe in the neighborhood and on campus:

1. Please be mindful of the speed limit in the neighborhood and especially the school zones.

2. Please refrain from using your phone in the school zone or while you are driving in the OHT parking lot. It is against the law and puts staff, students, and OHT community members at risk.

3. Please do not park in the disabled parking spaces unless you have a placard or indicator on your license plate that gives you permission to use those spaces. We have students and staff members who need to use those spots on a daily basis.

4. If you are picking up your child in the drive thru lane, please do not get out of your vehicle unless you need to buckle them into a safety seat.

5. Please park in the empty spaces in the OHT parking lot, not in the aisles or in spaces with signs designating the spot for someone else.

6. Please be cautious when you are approaching the crosswalks and watch for signals from the OHT staff member on duty.

Oak Hills Terrace Elementary is excited to begin registering children for the 2025-2026 school year! If your child is turning 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, and lives within our attendance area, they are eligible to start kindergarten! Join us! When your child is absent, you can submit an excuse note in several ways:

1. Send a written parent note or Dr note with your child to turn into the office.
2. Send your child's teacher a message on Dojo.
3. Email our Attendance Secretary @april.gonzalez@nisd.net 
4. Drop your excuse note off in the Front Office.
