Reading is encouraged through story times, state and national book awards and other programs. The library hosts visits by authors & storytellers, and our school has 2 book fairs per year. Technology is integrated regularly with the use of many different apps and online resources during lessons. STEM thinking and learning is encouraged through the use of Makerspaces and quality literature. The librarian teaches information literacy through direct instruction in age-appropriate activities at all grade levels. In addition, the librarian supports and facilitates student research and leisure reading, as well as meets the information needs of our school community. Our campus librarian supports collaboration among faculty, staff, and students to create an atmosphere of academic excellence and provides the community with tools for lifelong learning.
