Who is the PTA?
We are a group of parents/teachers/community members who work together to provide a fun learning environment for all Luna students and who advocate for an excellent education system on behalf of those students.
How can I help?
- Join PTA: $10.00 dues activate your PTA membership for a full school year. You can join in person at a PTA Meeting or you can become a member online (includes $1.50 processing fee) just visit JoinPTA.org to join online. It’s super easy!
- Volunteer: Volunteer as much (or as little) as your schedule allows, there are no required hours of volunteer time, no mandatory number of meetings to attend! Click here to complete NISD's Volunteer Background Check. Send email to luna.longhorn.pta@gmail.com to sign-up for volunteer opportunities at Luna.
- Speak Up: attend meetings, voice concerns, ask questions.
- Promote: spread the word about what your PTA is doing for your school, encourage other parents and friends to be a part of our efforts to empower children and families.

Calling all vendors! We're in need of businesses and volunteers to run our booths, or bring their own!
- Vendors will be charged a $20 fee for a personal business spot, need to provide their own electricity, table, and canopy.
- Volunteers will simply help with set up, and running the booth by collecting tickets, cooking and serving food, running games, and keeping their area clean (2-4 people per booth requested) This is a great opportunity to get volunteer hours for college applications, scholarships, etc
- Help us earn funds for our clubs and electives to provide supplies, equipment, and support student enrichment!
- Profits made by the PTA will go towards 8th grade field day, goody bags, and back to school preparation in August
