Gracie-M Espinoza - Principal
My name is Gracie Espinoza and I am honored to be the Principal at Leon Springs ES. It is such a pleasure to work with such an amazing group of students, parents, staff and community. At Leon Springs ES, we are committed to making a difference...everyday, in every classroom, every student. I am originally from El Paso, TX and came to San Antonio to attend college. In 2004, I graduated from UTSA with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in early childhood education. I began my teaching career in NISD and loved every minute of it!! In 2010, I received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I decided to continue my journey and return to UTSA in 2012 to get a second Master’s degree in Administration.

In my free time, I love to spend time with those that I love the most...my super supportive family and incredible friends. I enjoy going out to eat and trying different restaurants in town, traveling and exploring new places, shopping, and working out!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to working together and making this an exceptional year full of joy, success, and growth.

Hello Longhorns!

I am honored to be Leon Springs Elementary’s Associate Principal. I am starting my eighth year in administration as an associate principal. My previous campuses in NISD include Passmore and Mary Hull Elementaries.
My background in education ranges from elementary to high school in the areas of special, bilingual, and general education.
I’m proud to say I received my BA from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook’Em) and my MEd from our local Trinity University (Go Tigers).
My family keeps me grounded. I am looking forward to keeping our Longhorns focused on their individual goals. Supporting each of them to understand their purpose as they strive to be their best selves will be my mission. Know that I am here to support you and your child/ren either in person, via phone and/or email.
