Dress for Success

  • Pajama pants, leggings, tights, and biker shorts are not allowed.
  • Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be at least mid-thigh
  • Rips/tears in jeans must be mid-thigh or lower. Holes must not be larger than a fist.
  • All pants are to be worn at the waist (no "sagging").
  • When arms are raised, the bottom of a shirt should touch the top of pants.
  • Tank tops, muscle shirts, halter/crop tops, spaghetti straps, exposed backs or midriffs, and see-through garments are not allowed.
  • Indecent/inappropriate patches, writings, or drawings are not allowed (ex: references to drugs, violence, gangs, etc.)
  • Hair must be neat and clean. Unconventional hairstyles that distract from teaching and learning are prohibited.
  • Body piercings are prohibited except for rings, studs, or other traditional jewelry. Unconventional piercings and jewelry are prohibited.
  • Slides and flip-flops are not allowed.

Lunch Procedures

Lunch deliveries and drop-offs will not be accepted for the upcoming school year for students from parents/guardians or delivery services.

Cell Phones/Technology

  • Cell phones & earbuds should be turned off and out of sight for the school day.
  • Cell phones will be allowed in the grade level morning areas prior to school starting and in the cafeteria for breakfast and lunch.
  • Cell phones will not be allowed in the classrooms for instructional purposes, only district issued electronic devices and personal laptops will be allowed.
  • Cell phones, electronic devices, & earbuds will not be not allowed in the hallways during the school day.
  • Taking pictures or recording others on campus is not allowed.
  • Electronic device violation (cell phone or earbuds) will result in the device being confiscated.
    If parents need to contact their child during the school day, please contact the front office. We will assist you with contact. Texting and calling your child during class distracts from their instructional time with the teacher.

NISD Technology Expectations

NISD is a 1:1 district, therefore, the campus will provide each student with a Chromebook and charger to use for instructional purposes. Parents will need to pay to replace damaged or lost Chromebooks and/or chargers.

  • Chromebook replacement: $250
  • Charger replacement: $10
