• December 9 - Magnet Fair at Northside Activity Center (all HS magnets at Paul Taylor Field House) 6:30-8:00
• December 11 - Lunch & Learn
• December 11 - Honor & Intermediate Band - Holiday Concert at Jay HS 6:30-8:00
• December 12 - 6th Grade Dance (4:15-6:00, $3 tickets available Wed. & Thurs. morning in the gym)
• December 13 - ALL Jones 8th Grade Field Trip to Jay HS
• December 14 - eSports Competition
• December 18 - Beginner Band & Jazz Band Concert - Jones MS Cafeteria 6:00-7:30

• Magnet School applications are now open at https://www.nisd.net/magnets If you are a current magnet student returning to Jones STEM next year, you do NOT need to reapply. If you are an 8th grader, you may apply to any high school magnet school you are interested in. Jones STEM 8th graders have an automatic seat available at the Science & Engineering Academy.
• There are several upcoming field trips. Please keep an eye out for permission slips.
• UTSA PREP applications are open online at: https://klesse.utsa.edu/prep/ Contact the STEM office so we can send you the conduct letter, transcript, and teacher emails you will need to apply.
• You can join the Jones PTA online.
• Jones STEM Magnet shirts and Jones MS shirts are available in the office for $10 cash.

The first semester will end on December 20. Teachers will need to submit final grades prior to that date. Please help your student's monitor their progress and complete work in a timely manner.

Remember that high school credit classes (including 7th grade Engineering, 8th grade Algebra, 8th grade Robotics, and 8th grade Future Investigations) have strict attendance requirements. Students who are absent more than 17 days (8 days in a semester-long course) will need to complete attendance recovery in order to earn credit.
