It’s time to start thinking of courses for the 2017-2018 school year! Are you interested in taking Dual Credit courses? Dual Credit courses give you the opportunity to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. Dual Credit courses are offered in Math, English, Science and Spanish. Congratulations! John Jay HS and PTSA for placing 1st place in District 6 for the 2016 National Night Out event. This was the first year John Jay HS participated in National Night Out with the amazing help of our PTSA. We are extremely proud of this wonderful recognition and thank all of our students, staff and PTSA that helped make this award possible!!!
The Academic Decathlon team competed at the JAWS invitational at Warren this month. Our team brought home 35 individual awards. Aeddon Chipman brought home 7 individual awards plus the trophy for All Around Top Scoring Student in the Honors Category. Matthew Martinez also brought home 7 individual awards. Jaclyn Buda and Jamel Merrit each brought home 5 individual awards. Jhereg Jones and Tiana Bell each brought home 4 individual awards.
