Theatre Arts I and Musical Theatre I are performance-based classes, but performing is just one aspect. Students will develop skills and concepts that will benefit them on and off the stage. Students will get to work with others to solve human and practical problems, explore issues specific to their world and beyond, understand the educational, cultural and social purposes of drama, and appreciate performance art, both as participants and as spectators. Most importantly, students will be encouraged to challenge themselves and be more comfortable in their own skin in an environment that is inclusive and welcoming of everyone.
