Enjoy convenience – The healthyUexpress is literally a doctor’s office on wheels, bringing medical care to your child. This service saves time as your student can receive on-the-spot care in your neighborhood. A variety of services from Texas Health Steps to sick visits, counseling and education, are all covered, and the healthyUexpress accepts private insurance, CHIP, Medicaid and CareLink. This service, provided by Children's Health of University Health System will be at Garcia Middle School on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 1:00 - 5:30pm while supplies last.
Join us in the Garcia MS cafeteria this Monday, April 9 from 6:00 - 7:30pm. Learn about the upcoming bond election, followed by our campus summer activity fair! Parents attending this event will recieve a wristband for their student to wear gym shorts to school on Tuesday, April 10. The table below includes some of the camps and activity tables that will be at the fair. We look forward to seeing you there!
Garcia Middle School is very proud to celebrate Isaac Esquivel as Northside's Middle School Teacher of the Year! His dedication to our students and campus was recognized by the district last night, Wednesday, March 7 at the Teacher of the Year ceremony. Isaac's accepance of the award is available on YouTube for those who were unable to attend.
It's the NEF - 5k time and that means it's time to get moving! As you know, NEF partners with hundreds of families, sponsors, and vendors to support its mission of generating more resources for NISD faculty and staff to provide innovative educational programs to more than 106,000 students. Please come out and join us and help our school earn cash as well! If you can't go, you can still donate and help our school win!

Attention 5th graders! Bring your families to the Garcia Middle School Course Selection Fair Monday, February 5, 2018 at Garcia Middle School.
The fair will start in cafeteria for students with last names "A" through "L" at 5:00 PM- 6:15 PM. For students with last names "M" through "Z", the event will run from 6:45 PM- 8:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
A big thank you to all of our Gladiators who participated in the 2018 spelling bee! We recognize the hard work each student put into their work and celebrate their efforts during the bee. We would like to recognize and congratulate Zainub as this year's winner at our campus - awesome job! She will be representing our campus as she competes in the San Antonio Express News 65th Regional Spelling Bee.

Garcia Middle School would like to recognize our students' parents who have given service through our country's military. In appreciation of their service, veterans are invited to celebrate Veteran's Day with us by joining us for breakfast November 10, 2017 in the HGMS Library from 7:30 - 8: 15am.
