Independent School District has been home to Mrs. Mantle for many years. As a child she
attended all NISD schools from Kindergarten through High School, graduating from John
Marshall High School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at
San Antonio in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Mrs. Mantle began her teaching career at Shirley J. Howsman Elementary, in NISD, as a Second Grade
teacher and later a Fifth Grade Teacher. During this time she enrolled in the Masterโs program at UTSA
and obtained a Masterโs Degree in Education. In 2008, Mrs. Mantle was named the Vice Principal of
Christian Evers Elementary. She served the Evers community for six year.
Mrs. Mantle believes building positive relationships creates an environment where children feel safe,
supported and connected to their learning. She values being part of a team that works to inspire all of
the students to learn and grow every day.
Mrs. Mantle has been married for 31 years, has two daughters, and a sweet puppy she calls, Duffy. She
enjoys gardening and doing things with her family during her free time.

Hello Forester Dragons! I am proud to serve as the new Associate Principal of Forester. I am committed to working with students, teachers and parents to develop and implement initiatives that promote the growth and development of every student.
After obtaining a bachelor's degree at the University of the Incarnate Word, I began my career with Northside at McDermott Elementary where I taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and special education. More recently, I worked at Howsman Elementary where I taught both BMC and 3rd grade
In addition to my experience, I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at UTSA. This opportunity has allowed me to deepen my knowledge and understanding of educational leadership and best practices.
I am excited to work alongside our dedicated faculty and staff to continue the tradition of excellence that Forester Elementary is known for. Together, we will provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive and reach their full potential. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and building a strong relationship within the school community. My door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out to me with questions or concerns.
