The Dual Language Application Process Kinder-1st NISD 2025
This is a general timeline. Some of these dates are subject to change based on District recommendations and individual campus resources. New Dual Language Applicants: Register your student online to their Northside ISD home campus- according to home address.
January 21-31
Kindergarten parents. Register your child at their designated home campus. Click here for application
Once registration is completed, parents will be issued a student ID. Student ID is needed for application.
January 31
Applications for participation in the program will become available on the NISD Dual Language website http://duallang.nisd.net
April 1-11
Pre Kindergarten application opens later. Pre-k parents, register your child at their designated home campus. Student ID will be needed for application.
April 25
The Dual Language Lottery will take place. Applications will continue to be accepted. Placement will be considered based on space availability at individual campuses
May 5 -9
Dual Language campuses will use the lottery results to create their class list. Group 1: Schools will communicate to families acceptance and waitlist status.
May 12- 29
Campuses will continue to work to finalize their dual language class rosters. Spaces available for Group 2 and 3 will be determined and communicated to families.
