Student Ambassador Program

The NISD Student Ambassadors is a select group of students chosen through an application and interview process to be the “Face of the District.” This select group of 20 to 30 student leaders will be trained to assist with important public relations and communications services at NISD.

Ambassadors will be given the opportunity to positively promote NISD while developing leadership skills through interacting with students and families, school staff, and the local community. They will represent NISD at various school and community activities, in addition to assisting with the District’s executive leadership team. The program will seek students from diverse backgrounds who are enthusiastic and who demonstrate exceptional communication and leadership skills.

The Student Ambassador Program would be facilitated through the Communications Department.

Social Media Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors will also be involved with storytelling via our social media channels. Many other districts use this strategy to increase student engagement and buy-in. In addition, students have an influence on their parents about where they choose to go to school and which programs they enroll in. Student voice is more powerful peer-to-peer than from an adult.

Part of our NISD Ambassador's role will be to amplify the student voice through good storytelling. Working with Communications Specialist Kailey Loza, each student will provide one spirit/athletics post, one campus-based post, and one District post per year.
