Student Technology Device Pilot

Banner image that reads "Technology Device Pilot"

As we approach the end of the school year, we want to inform you about our upcoming Technology Device Pilot. We will be piloting a new program allowing students to keep their Chromebooks over the summer break.

Benefits of keeping the Chromebook over the summer:

  • Encourages continued learning and skill development over the break
  • Access to educational resources for summer assignments and projects
  • Preparedness for the upcoming school year

Please note the following details:

For 9th, 10th, and 11th Graders:

Current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students with a school-issued Chromebook device must bring their device & charger to school for verification and check-up before taking them home for the summer break. This process is essential to ensure that the devices are in good working condition and ready for academic use in the upcoming school year.

For students to take their device home over the summer, the device & charger must be physically verified and checked for damage. Please make sure your child brings their device & charger for the verification window: May 6 - May 17.

By taking the device over the summer, students will be responsible for the basic care and security of the device.

For 12th Graders:
12th grade students must turn in their Chromebook devices at the end of the year. We kindly ask that all 12th graders return their devices & chargers on the specified date in preparation for the next academic year. Collection of these devices will take place on the last day of school, June 6, during the third period final exam.

If your child has lost their device or charger, please ensure your child informs their classroom teacher so that it can be properly reported. If a device or charger is not turned in during the collection window, please contact your campus for information on how to receive a replacement for the 2024-2025 school year.

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the mobile device pilot, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s campus.
