The Special Education program at Brandeis High School is dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusion and differentiation, while also preparing students for a successful transition to adult life after high school.

The program emphasizes the importance of creating an environment where all students, regardless of their learning abilities, feel valued and supported. Through individualized instruction, collaborative teaching, and adaptive strategies, the program ensures that each student receives the guidance they need to succeed academically and socially. In addition to academic support, the program places a strong focus on life skills and vocational training to help students prepare for life beyond the classroom. Case manager work closely with students to develop personalized learning plans that accommodate diverse needs, while also providing them with the tools to navigate higher education, employment, or independent living. This commitment to differentiation and future readiness allows every student to thrive, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive community.

Friends Having Fun

Friends Having Fun is a dynamic club dedicated to fostering a culture of acceptance and inclusivity for our special education ALE students. Through engaging activities and collaborative experiences, the club creates valuable opportunities for our ALE students to interact meaningfully with their peers in the general education population. By promoting understanding and friendship, we strive to break down barriers and challenge misconceptions about disabilities. Our mission is to cultivate an environment where all individuals are celebrated for their unique contributions, reinforcing the belief that every person deserves respect and companionship.

VIP

The goal of the Vocational Instruction Program (VIP) is to provide opportunities for students to acquire multiple employability skills on-campus and in the community with the intention of a greater likelihood of being employed before or upon graduation.
