The NISD High School Math Department is committed to empowering students to compete in a global society by utilizing 21st-century skills that will support them in becoming independent thinkers and lifelong learners. Because we provide a curriculum that is rigorous, relevant, and equitable, students will develop into critical thinkers and effective problem solvers as they progress through their mathematics coursework. In addition, we provide ongoing professional development that engages educators with instructional strategies and tools that create authentic learning experiences for students that go beyond the classroom and integrate skills necessary to become productive members of society.
At Brandeis, our Math Department prides ourselves on offering a dynamic and inclusive math program that supports students at every level!
We provide a range of courses from foundational math to advanced, Dual-Credit and AP classes, including AP Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB and BC, and AP Statistics, ensuring that students are both challenged and supported in their mathematical journey. Our teachers foster a growth mindset, encouraging students to see challenges as opportunities for learning and building a supportive community where questions are encouraged.
Our department is dedicated to ensuring every student leaves our school feeling confident in their math skills and prepared for future academic and career success. Many of our students go on to pursue STEM-related majors in college, thanks to the strong foundation theyโve built in our math program!
