Meet Mrs. Alfaro! 

Ms. Alfaro is a classically trained pianist. She began studying piano at the age of nine and has studied with piano teachers in Texas, California, and South America. She attended the National Music Conservatory in La Paz, Bolivia in 1995. Beyond the piano, Ms. Alfaro enjoys playing the clarinet, cello, and singing in her church choir.

Ms. Alfaro holds pedagogy certifications in the Kodaly Concept and Orff Schulwerk. She is committed to continue learning in the area of elementary music in order to best serve her students.

Ms. Alfaro lives in San Antonio with her daughter Claire and their dog Jake.

5th Grade Strings

  • The Blattman 5th grade strings class offers students an opportunity to learn to play one of four string instruments: violin, viola, cello, or bass.
  • This group performs in the fall and spring in order to showcase their skills growth on their instruments.
  • Students who successfully complete this class will be prepared to enter the intermediate orchestra in middle school.
