Northside School District’s Learning Tree program offers opportunities for children to access academic enrichment,
social, and recreational experiencesin an after school environment that is safe and supervised. Students learn about
College Readiness and Entrepreneurship through life lessons. Last year over 53,000 students participated in
the National Program, Lemonade Day. We have many partners therefore, expose students tomany community
agencies through fun hands on activities. The program is run by the Adult and Community Education Department,
known for its long history of providing quality programming for families.
The Learning Tree program is designed to meet the needs of children and support the goals andobjectives of
both Northsideand the Texas Education Agency to reinforcedaytime learning. The Learning Tree program
provides academic and enrichment activities, enhanced self-motivation,social skills, and improved study skills.
We also strive to engage families by offering events in a variety of topicssuch as communication,
Best Practices -parenting skills, and nutrition. Our parents are encouragedto participate in
Family Fun Fitness Events that focus on health and quality family life.

Northside offeres a variety of Learning Tree Programs throughout the district; some are tuition programs and some
are funded through grants. At Passmore we are an ACE state funded program so it is offered at no charge to our parents.
Operating Hours are 2:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
Open on early release days - Closed on district holidays.
