NEW! 2015-16 Learning Tree Scholarship Program
The goal of the Dr. John Folks After School Program Scholarship is to make the Learning Tree program accessible to as many students as possible. The goals of the program are to provide a safe place for students to engage in productive and enriching activities during the after school hours while parents are at work. It is also the goal of the program to promote parental involvement in order to stress the importance of the parent role in their child's education. A maximum of 635 scholarships will be awarded in the 2015-16 school year to families that are experiencing financial hardship based on the current Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines. Responsible guardians must be working or enrolled in school or a training program during the after school hours. Applications are posted online and may be submitted electronically or in person at the Learning Tree main office at the Northside Learning Center- building D. Please note the following deadlines to apply:
Application period: May 1-18, 2015. Deadline to apply May 18, 2015
Application period: May 18-July 10, 2015. Deadline to apply July 10, 2015
Application period: July 13- September 11, 2015. Deadline to apply September 11, 2015
Application period: September 14, 2015- January 15, 2016. Deadline to apply January 15, 2016

2015-16 Tuition Based Registration Dates
Open Registration for elementary campuses will begin online Monday June 1, 2015. Open registration for middle school campuses will begin online Monday May 4, 2015.
New Tuition Based Campuses in 2015-16: Bernal MS, Boldt ES, Briscoe MS, Connally MS, Garcia MS, Hobby MS, Jefferson MS, Jordan MS,Luna MS, Neff MS, Pease MS, Stevenson MS, Stinson MS, and Vale MS.

Regular School Days - 2:45pm-6:30pm (Elementary Tuition Based Sites), 2:45 PM - 5:30 PM (COSA Elementary and ACE Sites); 3:45pm - 6:30pm (Middle school Tuition Based sites), 3:45 - 5:30 PM (COSA Middle Schools.)
Early Release Days - 11:45am-6:30pm (Elementary Tuition Based Sites); 12:45 - 6:30pm (Middle School Tuition Based Sites). Program is not provided on early release days at COSA or ACE sites.

|$30 per child; non-refundable|
$210 monthly, September - May (Elementary); $150 monthly, September - May (Middle School)
Tuition is based on 177 school days.
|Discounts for Tuition Based Sites|
|Discounts for siblings: $20 discount for 2nd child, $40 discount for 3 or more children. Scholarships and dditional discounts may be available, please contact your Program Specialist for more information.|
|Payments for Tuition Based Sites|
As a reminder the new PaySchools/PayForIt will charge 3.25% transaction fee on the total amount for all credit cards/debit cards. If you pay by check the transaction fee will remain at $1.75.
Payment is due on the first of each month. On the sixth day, a late fee of $25 will be added to the tuition payment.
The fastest, most convenient way to submit payment is online through the Parent Portal: http://parentportal.kidscarecenter.com.
You may set up auto-bill pay with your financial institution.
NISD employees have the option of payroll deduct.

Check, money order, or cash only; we cannot accept credit cards in the office. The office is closed on district holidays.
