We are excited to welcome Principal Kirsten Velasquez to our campus leadership team for the upcoming school year. We look forward to the experience, dedication, and commitment they will bring in supporting our students, staff, and families.

Shawn Simmonds graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Ms. Simmonds also attended Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership.
Shawn has 15 years experience in education. She taught elementary school (3rd & 4th grade) for 10 years before becoming an Assistant Principal with CCISD, where she has been for the last 5 years.
She is the proud mom of two daughters. Abby, who is a teacher in Northside ISD, and Jackie, who is a senior at Texas State.
