Carnahan students got to meet Dinosaur George and see his extensive collection of artifacts. The exhibit will be open to the community March 17th from 5-7pm in the Carnahan gym.
The NEF 5K Run/Walk & Family Wellness Fair is the largest, local non-profit 5K in San Antonio. On this day, NISD students, staff, hundreds of families, sponsors, and vendors will come together to support NEF’s mission of generating more resources for NISD faculty and staff to provide innovative educational programs for over 103,000 students. In 2014, almost 5,000 participated in this fun-filled family event. The NEF theme for 2015 is “Race for Seis” hoping to have 6,000 registering for the 5K Run/Walk. Click HERE for flyer.
On Friday, March 6th, students will partipate in Kite Day during their rotation times. You can purchase a kite for $5 through Thursday, March 5th. All money raised will help to purchase new equipment for P.E.
It's time for the Winter Program! Please join us Thursday, December 11th at 6:00pm as Carnahan Elementary proudly presents John Jacobson's "Flakes!" All Pre-K, PPCD, Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade students are invited to perform. We look forward to seeing you there!
Come join us to dig in the dirt and have fun! We invite students and their families to come plant native trees using seedlings grown during last year's science studies. Our first school fund raiser will kick-off this Friday, Aug. 29th. It will run through Sept. 16th. More information to come.
Grandparents and/ or special guardians are invited to come on Tues., Sept. 9th from 6:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. to have breakfast with your child. Breakfast will be $1.85 for adults and free for enrolled students.
