Have you ever rented a movie from a Redbox kiosk? Well, McAndrew Highlanders have put a new spin on this idea. McAndrew 5th graders have been reading various genres. After students read a book, they summarized the book, and reviewed the book via a Google Site. Students created a Google Site so they could obtain a web address or URL. This URL was then used to create a QR code using a QR code generator. Students printed the book’s cover and the related QR code to attach to the “Readbox”. Guests, parents, and other students can use a mobile device to scan the QR code and read the summary and review of the book to help decide if the book is worth reading!
