Parental involvement is the number one influence on a child's success in school and all the data proves it! With this in mind Fisher Elementary Staff created a Bi-Lingual Parental Involvement "Cafecito" to invite parents and families on to their campus to share ways that they they can foster the school climate at home. The event was held in two languages, English and Spanish in an effort to more effectively meet the needs of the community. Some of the topics discussed were ways to extend the classroom at home by using digital resources for parents and students, apps and websites in both languages, GAFE for NISD elementary students, volunteer opportunities, and resources that can be found on!
