This session will go over simple but effective instructional activities to differentiate in the social studies classroom to achieve rigorous academic outcomes for students of all levels.  (Pair with Differentiation 2.0 for a full day of differentiated learning strategies!)

This session will focus on using quality technology-based tools to help differentiate instruction in the social studies classroom.  We will examine ways to address multiple modalities of learning without the burden of creating numerous different copies to achieve the same goal.

Quality Questioning & the Engaged Social Studies Classroom
Participants will talk through visual sources to practice asking quality questions. The activity will spark thoughtful conversations not just about content, but about the content acquisition and higher-level thinking. Primary source analysis and multiple choice reasoning skills will be employed.
