Floor Hockey
Introduction to the NISD Floor Hockey Module. Floor Hockey Module is a fast paced team sport that requires continuous movement, manipulative skills and strategies in order to score a goal. Skills learned in this module will transfer to the development and learning of other activities that require striking. The game rules are adaptable to meet the needs of the program regarding available space, class size, and ability levels. The module is designed to meet the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills Team Sport section.

Training to be a Change Agent for Healthy, Active Kids and Teachers in Schools
This workshop will introduce the research on the importance of children participating in active play outdoors. Information will be provided on how to develop the whole child and the whole teacher/administrator through physical education, unstructured play, and social emotional learning. Participants will learn behavior change concepts and develop strategies to become a change agent for their schools. During the session participants will have the opportunity to discuss school policy and communication strategies necessary for effective change. This workshop is designed for PE and Health Educators in the school setting. Please come dressed to participate in unstructured outdoor play breaks during the workshop.

Cup Stacking/Spike Ball
This three hour course will introduce the participants to Spikeball and Sport Stacking. Spikeball is an activity that can be used to teach and reinforce throwing, catching, striking,.and volleying skills (90 min) During the Sport Stacking session the teachers will learn the basic sport stacking patterns. They will also be introduced to the new Speed Stacks curriculum which features over 20 fitness and physical based activities and games for elementary students. (90min)
