Annual Report

The Texas Education Code (TEC), §39.306, requires each district’s board of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the TAPR, district accreditation status, campus performance objectives, information on violent or criminal incidents, and information on the performance of the previous year’s graduates in their first year of college, as reported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Other Accountability Information

Under the 2018 Texas accountability system, Northside was rated "B" with a score of 84.

All NISD campuses except for two were rated as “Met Standard”. The two rated as “Improvement Required” were Martin Elementary and the Holmgreen Center special campus.

Each campus that achieves the rating of Met Standard can also earn distinction designations in seven areas:

  • Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts
  • Academic Achievement in Mathematics
  • Academic Achievement in Science
  • Academic Achievement in Social Studies
  • Student Progress
  • Closing the Gaps
  • Post Secondary Readiness
Many NISD campuses received Distinction Designations:
  • 3 campuses received Distinction Designations in all areas in which they were eligible
  • 64 campuses received a Distinction Designation in one or more area
